What role do flame arresters and pressure-vacuum valves play in energy plants?

Flame arresters and pressure-vacuum valves are part of critical functions, where control, safety and protection of plant and installations are essential to overall operation. Flame arresters are used when explosive vapors are transported, stored or processed and a potential ignition source is present. They prevent flames and explosions from spreading between tanks and plants. Pressure/vacuum valves equalize the pressure in the tank while also reducing product loss and emissions, with one of the lowest leakage rates on the market.
